Established in 2020. Alasdair brings his 15 years experience as a butcher who has gained the craft butcher qualification (the highest qualification a butcher can achieve) to deliver a unique, bespoke service to both his private kill customers and retail ones.
Based at Brindister farm Gulberwick. We are perfectly placed to serve the whole of Shetland.
The Traditional Butcher is Shetland's only dedicated private kill butcher who prepares, vac packs and labels the customers product ready - so they can collect and distribute as required. Alasdair has the ability to provide many add on services including steak aging, bacon and gammon production, burgers and sausages, allergen and/or gluten free processed products to name but a few.
