Project Leader
Job Title:
Project Leader, Part-time (22 hrs per week), Freelance Role, £25 per hour. Applications for Job Share are welcome.
About Us:
Shetland Food and Drink Limited is the not-for-profit company, operating the Taste of Shetland brand. We represent Shetland’s food and drink producers both within the isles and globally to bring their wonderful produce to the widest possible audience.
About You:
We are looking for an experienced person to play a key role in our small team.
You should:
- Be an excellent communicator
- Be self-motivated and work effectively on own initiative
- Have the ability to multitask, prioritise, organise and manage time effectively
- Demonstrate great interpersonal skills
- Have excellent IT skills
- Have strong problem-solving abilities
- Have the flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends if required
- Be passionate about Shetland’s food and drink industry
- Have experience of event management
The Role:
You will be responsible for the management and growth of our organisation reporting directly to our Board of Directors.
This will include:
- Maintaining and building relationships with our board, funders, sponsors and other relevant organisations by email, phone and in person
- Supporting and promoting food and drink producers and providers
- Encouraging and promoting new relationships with industry professionals
- Developing and overseeing all projects and events, funding applications and attraction of new sponsorship
- Working as a team with Marketing and Finance Officers
- Providing Board Member support, attending and contributing to Board Meetings
- Overseeing key events
- Developing and driving forward new and exciting ways to represent and grow our impact on the industry
- Fulfilment of other duties as and when required to meet the aims and objectives of the organisation
