Filipino Pinoy Egg Noodles Soup
Ingredients
- 600 grams chicken, diced
- 2 carrots, diced
- 2 sticks of celery, chopped
- 1/2 medium cabbage, chopped
- 1 large white onion, chopped
- 3 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 pack of shiitake mushrooms
- 3 cubes of chicken broth (Pinas)
- 1 sachet of Magic Sarap seasoning
- 1 tbsp black pepper powder
- 1 pack of egg noodles, crushed
- 3 tbsp oyster sauce
- 2 litres of water
- 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 1 bunch of spring onions
Method
- Heat the oil in a cooking pot. Once hot, saute the onion until soft.
- Add the chicken and cook for 3-5 minutes until it turns light brown.
- Pour in the water, add the chicen broth cubes and the Magic Sarap seasonig.
- Cover and simmer for 30 minutes.
- Add the celery, carrots and sabbage. Stir and cook for 5-8 minutes.
- Pour in the fish sauce and add the shiitake mushrooms.
- Stir in the noodles. Cook for 5-7 minutes.
- Add the spring onions.
- Transfer to a serving bowl and sprinkle with the red bell pepper.
